Shot Blocking

my role was the grip and it was a very minor role but an important role.

So I as the grip am in control of the tripod and moving it where ever the director wants me to move it 

so for example if I was in the corner of the room and the director was t ask me to move to the other corner I would as well I also do what the camera man/women asks me to do so they say bring to shot in or refocus it or start recording that is what I do in my opinion I could of communicated better with my camera manager as we had some issues towards the end with iso on the camera as well as having some issues. I was also quite good at monovering the camera when asked   

3 things that went well

1. Good communication between a.ds and there co workers. This led to good scene shooting and well crafted scenes 

2. directors getting passionate about there work suggesting that they really care about the scenes.

3.The lighting was exquisite due to a fabulous bit of craftsmanship by my co worker Noah smith who with his vast amount of experience in lighting brought our crew together.

3 things that went bad

Directors focusing on the same thing and needed to communicate with others about there roles e.g. the Grip

2. Continuity manager was absolutely atrocious  as he couldn't remember what had happened in the last few scenes and it required a good 10 minutes for us to go back through the footage 

3.  Directors needed to get involved more.

What Didn't go well

we didn't have enough time to finish

the camera was hard to focus

figuring out how to work the camera

Overall I believe the project went well and as a group we performed above average

1. main duties how do you see it working in special effects scene hoe do i suit this role rank

The Director of photography is in contact with the director a lot in order to achieve the total look of the film.
i believe this role is very important in the game of special effects as it requires a level head in order to see where i would like the special effects to be and deciding weather the team can work together to produce a perfect scene.

i Believe i would be very good at the director of photography/ cinematographer because i am very good in a team for example i work in a kitchen at a restaurant as well as being captain of my 5 aside football team.

I would rank myself 8/10 for this job

2. Clapper this person prepares the clapper board and loads the camera with new batteries and film

I believe  that i would be perfect for this job as i have good attention to details and i am fast and agile and i come equipped for every lesson showing that i am organised

i BELIVE THAT this role is vey important to special effects as the editor can much easier filter through footage knowing what scene and what take

i would rate my self 10/10 for this job

3. Sound Recorder

Recording sound in your location and checking the levels\

This is very important to special effects as you have to get the perfect amount of sound when the effects happen and it would work well in this project as it is vital to the success

I believe i would be very good for this role as to do it properly u need to require a steady hand and i would be perfect for it as i am a goalkeeper.

i would rate myself7/10 for this job
