Task Produce a Story board
Contingency planThese are the things that could go wrong
1 Someone could be ill
2 we loose files
3 we mess up recording times
4 camera battery dies
5 actor failes to get there on time
when someone was ill i stepped in and did there paperwork and there job for that day
when we lost files we had a drive created where everyone pt everything so everyone could share it and give there paperwork to others
we messed up the recording times by messing around in recordings and people not coming to lessons on time
we had our camera battery die and what we should of done was bring a spare however we didn't and we have to wait 15 minutes to get it
and we also had a situation where our actor decided she couldn't do the date we set so we couldn't record

This story board is not very good as there is no directions on it for the sound recordist or the light director or the cinematographer

scene 1 of the story board the lights will be above the desk and they will be flickering and this will be an establishing shot of the scene introducing the character to the area. The sound recorder will be placed next to the gaffe who is turning the lights on so he can hear the lights flicker and they turning on in scene 2 of the story board the camera shot will be a middle shot and the gaffa will be placed behind the actor and out of the shot so the lighting will be good. and sound will be placed also behind the actor and out of the shot so they can record clearly what the actor is doing
in scene 3 the sound recordist will not be needed however they will be required to get a pony sound for the radio lighting will be above the radio and this is a zoom shot onto the radio
in scene 4 of the script this is a middle shot where the gaffe and sound are place next to the actor and out of the shot so they can hear everything and just incase the sound director will be getting some fond sounds of bubble wrap and knife cutting
in scene 5 of the script there is a over the shoulder shot of our actor picking up the phone and talking the sound will be place next to the camera so it sounds like we are watching and listening like we are behind them hence the over the shoulder shot
in scene 6 of the script there will be the gaffe lighting up the phone the sound recordist will get a pony sound for the phone ringing and the shot type will be a close up shot of the phone.
in scene 7 of the script we will once again have a medium shot of her cutting boxes lighting and sound will be as close as the actor as they can get without being in the shot
in scene 8 of the script we will have a close up shot of our actor on the phone to her mum and the lighting will be above the actor so the lighting will look very good and the sound recordist will be as close to her head as they can in order to hear the slight muffled dialogue of the mum on the phone with her daughter
in scene 9 of the script we have a high angle shot and we need lighting to be next to the box as the high angle shot requires good lighting in order to be a successfull shot and sound will not be needed then
in scene 10 we will have a quick cut of her cutting herself and jumping back and then we zoom out onto the radio and slowly zoom in
Light sound camera directions
This is group 2's storyboard .
Task 2 get relevant mock ups and sketches of special effects
That is the special effect that we are going to use
Task 3 produce a detailed risk assessment for filming

Task 3 produce a detailed risk assessment for filming

Task 4 Produce a location recce for the studio and the garage

Task 5 get legal requirements
as the director of sound need to do give out ear protection when requested for it if the sound is

above 90 decibels for 8 hours or more as this much sound can be dangerous for the ears due to the 1989 noise at work regulations and should not work longer than 12 hours a day and I am allowed to leave the premises in the event of a serious situation that will endanger me for example a fire or I have broken my bones e.g. Arms due to the management of health and safety act in 1999 as I am hoovering equipment I need to be competent and risk have to been assessed and controlled the equipment must be suitable for the task and the operators concerned and safety must be installed and safety concerned
Positive things about the group
Unfortunately our director was ill and couldn't attend our lesson. However our first ad Tim did a fantastic job of stepping in and immersing himself in the role of director to guide our group through.
and because of his heroic contribution we managed to get some scenes filmed.
Issues with the group
Obviously as our director was away we where very disorganised tim did the best he could however we certainly were at a disadvantage and because of this it took us a while to get everything sorted so a way around this is to have a failsafe if our director is not here so we know what to do and do not need to be told.
How did i individually carry out my role
Unfortunately i had some technical difficulties with the sound recorder and it didn't record any sound it just recorded white noise so unfortunately i didn't carry out my role to well but i will learn and take a back up sound recorder next time
Task 6 Following correct ways to create the sfx
Rules for the garage
don't disturb it and leave everything how it was when you where in there
please be carefull of the sharp things and dont touch them and don't lean on the sides as there could potentially be things on there and as well and all ways wear shoes
